Centrebet $10 Free Bet

Tonight I was browsing the Centrebet.com website when I noticed that they now advertise their Facebook & Twitter pages on their site, following the trend set by other bookmakers. I was quick to ‘Become a fan’ on both Twitter and Facebook as I do find their site the most user friendly out of all the leading bookies in Australia. Browsing their Facebook page I noticed they were giving away a $10 free bet for those to find the clue which was hidden inside their Facebook page. Continue reading for more information!

Round 21 Best Bets

21
Aug

As I mentioned earlier today I’m going to find it hard to find time to preview this weeks games. Instead I’m just going to post my best bets for the weekend.

Western Bulldogs vs Geelong
Best Bet: Total match points Under 202.5 @ $1.90 – Centrebet
Reason: Geelong haven’t kicked over 100 points in a game for over a month. Steve Johnson and Travis Varcoe are both out of the side this week. Geelong have brought some more experience into their backline with the inclusion of Milburn. Scarlett and D. Johnson also returned last week for the Cats to field a pretty good backline.

Carlton vs Melbourne
Best Bet: Carlton to win 1-39 @ $2.47 – Centrebet
Reason: I guess this is more of a gut instinct. However last time these two teams met the Blues won within that margin. I also think the Dees have been playing with a lot of heart in recent weeks, with the announcements that a few players are leaving the club at years end will only fire them up more. In the end they’ll still tank but hopefully put up a fight.

Richmond vs Hawthorn
Best Bet: Richmond line +18.5 @ $1.91 – Centrebet
Reason: I rant on a bit about how I don’t rate Hawthorn. I’ve made some good bets when betting against them and hopefully that run will continue. The feeling I’m getting from the Hawks is that they’ve given up on their season. The board has been called in for a end of season review before the season has even ended. If you’re game I’d back the Tigers for the win at $2.97 however the line is a safe option. I really rate the Tigers a big chance in this match.

Hawks fly into favouritism

24 hours ago bookmakers suspended betting after a number of well informed punters loaded up on the Hawks. Rumours spread that a number of key St Kilda players would miss the clash in Tasmania on Saturday. When the teams were released at 5 pm tonight it was clear why bookies had shut up shop on the game. Saints skipper Nick Riewoldt will miss with concussion. Joining him is a long list of St Kilda stars – Leigh Montagna (elbow), Brendon Goddard (knee), Steven Baker (knee), Lenny Hayes (back).

Whilst browsing a few blogs I came across the Ladder Predictor made by ContestedFooty. The ladder predictor is a great tool to use and is extremely useful if you want to place a bet on markets such as Hawthorn to make the top 8, Adelaide to make the top 4 etc.

Can Gary Ablett win the Brownlow medal?

Jul

Ablett_NAB09_2_246aGary Ablett is once again favourite to win the Brownlow Medal. As it stands Centrebet has the Geelong star at just $2.80 to win the medal in front of Chris Judd of Carlton who sits at $3 and Collingwoods Dane Swan at $4.50. We know that Gary has gone in as the favourite to win the medal in both 2007 and 2008 only to be beaten by team mate Jimmy Bartel in ‘07 and Western Bulldogs Adam Cooney last year.
