Preview: Sydney vs Geelong
Aug0
The Cats were ripe for the picking last week when the Blues caused an upset at the G’ on Friday night. Unfortunately for the Cats things aren’t much better. They welcome back All-Australian full back Matthew Scarlett along with Mark Blake, David Johnson and Haryy Taylor at the expense of David Wojcinski (ankle), Darren Milburn (ankle), Max Rooke (knee soreness) and Kane Tenace (ommited).
The Swans were forced to make just one change, Jarrad McVeigh out with a hamstring while Leo Barry gets welcomed back to the side.
The Cats have won the past 5 games against Sydney including one game at ANZ stadium where they defeated the Swans by 39 points.
Last week Adam Goodes was the clear best on ground when the Swans defeated the Tigers and will pose a threat against the undermanned Geelong defence. Jesse White and Michael O’Laughlin will also worry the Cats defenders.
Steve Johnson was completely off his game last week but will be better for the run and should be back to some good form.

The Verdict
It’s still to hard to tip against the Cats in my opinion. they’re a quality team and will bounce back from the form slump that they’re in. If Sydney can beat the Cats however their finals chances are still alive.
It was the Cats 150th celebration last week and Geelong coach Mark Thompson sent a strong message to his players on the night. I’d be very surprised if they dont bounce back on Saturday night.
