Thinking about getting back in to it soooon! #AFL Jan 18, 2010 / 04:53h
Preview: Sydney vs St Kilda
Jul0
I have stated in previous rounds that the trip to the SCG is probably the hardest interstate trip of all. Sure, I may have said it prior to the one week that Sydney got defeated at the ground but I still stand by the statement! The only problem is St Kilda are in unbelievable form and still yet to be defeated this season. Like Geelong, its impossible to tip against the Saints for the remainder of the home and away season and despite the short $1.13 odds for the Saints there is still some value in this game.
Preview: Collingwood vs Brisbane Lions
Jul0
Toughest game to pick this week. Not a lot of difference between these two sides. Both are playing for a top 4 spot which is sure to heat up the MCG on Saturday night. You can make a case for both teams. Collingwood have beaten the Lions once already this year, that was at the Gabba as well which is sure to boost the confidence levels of the side.
Preview: Geelong vs Adelaide
Jul0
Forget about the cellar dwellars its games like this that we look forward to. Two in-form teams going head to head. Geelong may not have much at stake, they’re basically guaranteed a top 2 spot however an Adelaide win see them move up in to the top 4. The Cats have been a little rusty in recent weeks. They avoided the draw against the Hawks last week with a kick after the siren from Jimmy Bartel, who plays his 150th match this weekend.
Preview: Western Bulldogs vs Fremantle
Jul0
I think the $1.04 odds for the Bulldogs head to head against the Dockers says it all about this game. No stand out value in this game at all to be honest. To sum this game up…one side is hoping to secure a spot on the top 4 while the other is hoping win no more than 4 games. Last week the Dockers fell over the line in the Derby against West Coast. Compared to typical derby’s between these two clubs it was a major disappointment which has resulted in some pretty damning claims of tanking.

Preview: North Melbourne vs Carlton
Jul0
Adam Simpson will play his 306th and last game against the Blues on the big stage this Friday night. Can Carlton overcome their stage fright and crash the Kangaroos party? North Melbourne have also won 8 of the past 9 games against the Blues but despite all this Carlton are still short priced favourites, $1.31 on Sportingbet. Last week both teams got a touch up by their respective opponents however both will go in to this game relatively confident.
Ladder Predictor
Jul0
Whilst browsing a few blogs I came across the Ladder Predictor made by ContestedFooty. The ladder predictor is a great tool to use and is extremely useful if you want to place a bet on markets such as Hawthorn to make the top 8, Adelaide to make the top 4 etc.
